Calvin and Hobbes, my feline brothers, ruled the house before I came along. Calvin was the master of the house, but within two months I had taken over! I chase Calvin to remind him that I am the master of the house now. Hobbes doesn't bother me so much so I don't chase him very often.
Look! Mom lets me up on the bed...
I might be 10 years old but I love to play. We used to play down stairs on the hardwood floors, but the floors are slippery and I kept body slamming into the walls. We can't play fletch inside anymore because mom does not want my 1 year old husky brother, Dakota, running around inside. He is quite a spaz! I like toys I can play tug-of-war with mom. Goods ones are a fleece freesbies and a rope. Mom lets us play tug-of-war in the house.
My favorite game is hide and seek. Mom puts me on a lease and hooks the leash to a door knob or banister. I don't like this part of the game. Then she hides small treats around the house by putting them in corners or next to the couch or under tables. My tail starts wagging and it is just so exciting!! Then mom releases me and I start sniffing like a mad dog! I sniff and wag through the house looking for treats. After I have been in every room, I check all the rooms again for treats I might have missed the first time!
I live in Austin, TX and it is hot in the summer. I like to beat the heat
by sitting on the top step of the pool...
As I mentioned my canine brother Dakota is such a spaz! He just won't sit down and you know I have to keep an eye on him. I follow him everywhere when we are together. When we are in the back yard together he likes to get in my face. I act all annoyed and chase him away. Don't tell Dakota, but I think this is a fun game. He needs to learn some respect for his elders! When mom or dad is around he is always getting between me and mom or dad. Some times he just puts his butt into me and pushes me aside. How annoying! He has to spends his days outside, so we all know who is boss. (ME)
I have a new sister name Kia. She just joined our family on March 21st, so I am still getting to know her. We pretty much ignore each other. She and Dakota pal around since they are both Siberian Huskies. This leaves mom free to pet me! So Kia can't be too bad.
